Our Horses
Ross & Ryan

Clydesdale horses were developed in the valley of the Clyde in Scotland. Best known in the United States as the famous Budweiser teams, these horses are versatile, docile and easy to work with. They are at home pulling beautiful carriages, heavy freight wagons, and farm equipment. Our Clydesdales are a beautiful bay color with white markings and the famous "white feather" around their feet.

Percheron Horses were developed in the Le Perche region of France. They were popular as the war horses of the mounted knights in the middle ages. In modern times, their strength and beauty made them favorites of farmers and teamsters in the United States. Prior to World War II, they were the most numerous breed of draft horse in the U.S. Today, these striking black or grey horses are often seen as carriage horses in our cities. Percherons are the 'white horses', actually gray, used by the PT Barnum and Bailey circus for their smooth gait..

With the hardiness and charm of their donkey father and the style and grace of their horse mother, mules come in every size a horse does, but with more strength pound for pound. From settling the American west, to working the farms and mines, and pulling elegant carriages, they can do it all. George Washington received a gift from the king of Spain, a prized Castillian stud donkey. George then began an extraordinary breeding program as he believed mules were superior farm animals.

The Belgian draft horse (also known as Brabant) is the ultimate working and farming horse.  Originally from Belgium they have now become an American entity by themselves. They are the work horses that the Amish use for most of their farm work

Unfortunately our 2 Belgian drafts have gone of to greener pastures in the sky and are no longer available.
